We now has six undergraduate specialties, of which Automation is a national first-class undergraduate specialty construction site, a national-level feature specialty, and also a National Excellent Engineer Education Training Program of the Ministry of Education.

Currently the School has four undergraduate specialties: Automation, Measurement & Control Technology & Instruments, Electrical Engineering & Automation, and Robot Engineering (Chinese-American Cooperation).

There are about 2,000 full-time students and 79 teachers in the School. Among the teachers, there are 4 professors, 32 associate professors, 44 Ph.Ds (working on ones included), 1 state-level famous teacher, 2 selected into the "333 High-level Talent Training Project" as young science and technology leaders of Jiangsu Province, one selected in the provincial "Qing Lan project" as a young and middle-aged science and technology leader, 4 provincial "Qing Lan project"engineering outstanding young key teachers, one provincial "Qing Lan Project"engineering excellent teaching team, 2 young and middle-aged academic leaders, 5 outstanding young key teachers, and 8 master supervisors.
