On the afternoon of May 20th, Changshu Institute of Technology and Birmingham City University held a video conference on promoting cooperation and discussing exchange projects. Both sides attending the meeting were: British representative Abou Bakr Fathalla (Director of International Department), Mark Cai (Head of China), Susan Tuo (China Marketing Manager) and all staff of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of our university.
Birmingham City University (BCU) is a comprehensive public university in the UK. The university has four faculties: the Faculty of Arts, Design and Media, the Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Computer, Engineering and Built Environment, and the Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences, which offer courses with strong academic practice and theory Innovative. The Faculty of Arts, Design and Media has the UK's number one ranking, the largest jewelry school in Europe and the most prestigious Royal Birmingham Conservatory of Music. In 2014, our university and Birmingham City University signed a friendly cooperation agreement to carry out teachers and students exchange programs in many fields such as art and business.
During the video conference, both sides reviewed the history of cooperation between the two universities and expressed their expectation for future cooperation. The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation in 2+2 dual degree programs, 4+1 master programs, summer camps, teacher training programs, and joint workshops. Discussions were held on further broadening the cooperation majors, with a view to opening this project to students of all majors in our university. Both sides agreed to refine and renew the cooperation agreement between the universities in the near future, and to further connect in the mutual recognition of professional curriculum systems and training programs.
