Since 2012, Changshu Institute of Technology has jointly cultivated postgraduate students with universities such as Suzhou University and China University of Mining and Technology. As of April 2020, a total of more than 300 postgraduate students have graduated, and some of them have been admitted to well-known universities to pursue doctoral degree. The vast majority of graduates work in leading enterprises and government agencies. The graduates have been highly praised by employers. Now, there are 118 postgraduate students in study, mainly distributed in the School of Materials Engineering, the School of Computer Science and Engineering, the School of Electronic Information Engineering, the School of Biological and Food Engineering, the School of Textile and Fashion Design, the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Automotive Engineering, the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering, Business schools, Department of Physical Education and other schools (departments). The majors involved include materials engineering, computer technology, pharmaceutical engineering, clothing design and engineering, mechanical engineering, control engineering, business management, sports and so on.

The university currently has 122 part-time postgraduate tutors from Suzhou University, China University of Mining and Technology, Shanghai University, Shanghai University of Applied Sciences, Changzhou University, Northeast Petroleum University and other universities, among whom 6 are doctoral tutors.

According to the requirements of the original joint-education universities, combined with the actual situation, Changshu Institute of Technology has developed a training plan and management system that meets the characteristics of joint education of postgraduate students. Fully implement the responsibility of tutors, strengthen the construction of moral and ethics, attach importance to the management of graduate training process, and the quality of training is highly recognized by the original joint-education universities.
